About Me
I'm a recovering journalist with fiction published in The Book of Dark Wisdom, Outer Darkness, Haunts, Whispers from the Shattered Forum, and the Shirley Jackson Award-nominated anthology BOUND FOR EVIL, to name a few. Other works of mine are scheduled to appear in upcoming publications listed on the home page.
I am the author of the books SOMETIMES WOMEN ARE SO COLD, OF WOLF AND MAN, the short story collection WHEN IT RAINS, and THE BONE TREE (coming soon). My stories have received honorable mentions in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror, Best Horror of the Year, and Writers of the Future. I received the Richard Laymon President's Award for Service in 2008 from the Horror Writers Association. I also belong to the Robert E. Howard United Press Association and have been known to growl at strangers.
I've co-written several horror novellas with my wife Angeline Hawkes, including THEN COMES THE CHILD and BLOOD COVEN. Our third novella, BLACK MERCY FALLS, is scheduled to be published by Bloodletting Press's Morning Star imprint in late 2010. For news on our joint ventures, please visit the Fulbright & Hawkes website.
We live in the Dallas area, where I work as a technical writer to support our coffee habit.
